Benefit for Tony Delcorse – Son of Sal Delcorse ’66

Benefit for Tony Delcorse -Son of Sal Delcorse Leo Class of ‘66

Sixteen year old Tony Delcorse was diagnosed with a very rare form of leukemia in 2004 and has battled the disease with numerous blood transfusions and an aggressive chemotherapy.  Despite the heroic treatments, the only hope for Tony Delcorse beating this form of leukemia was s a bone marrow transplant performed with the heroic help of his brother Joey, in 1995.

Another complication arose following the transplant as Tony was further diagnosed with Graft vs. Host Disease (GVHD) – which is life threatening.  Joe’s foreign immune cells began attacking Tony’s vital organs. For over eight months Tony has fought to get the GVHD under control, with experimental chemotherapies and other therapies – not covered by medical insurance.  Through all of this ordeal and suffering Tony managed to graduate from Brother Rice High School in 2006.

Monthly costs for this treatment have exceeded $4,000 and keep rising. Friends of the Delcorse Family like Leo Man Jerry Prosser invite all Leo Men and their families to a benefit to help Sal Delcorse (Leo 1966) and his family.
