Lions Track Team Assists St. James for Christmas

The Leo High School track team visited St. James Parish Dec. 21 for the fourth consecutive year on Christmas morning to help pass out food and gifts to the homeless.
Several members of the National Honor Society, including the director Mrs. Latifi, accompanied the Lions.
Leo High School stresses the importance of selflessness, sharing and brotherhood. The most successful athletic program in Leo’s history displayed those characteristics on Wednesday morning.
Tyshawn Guyton, Sydney Dorsey, Sirlaurence King, Shondell Thompson, Michael Baxton, Michael Thomas, Damari Owens, Latifi, School President Dan McGrath, Andre Weathers, head track coach Edward Adams, assistants Peter Doyle and Marcus Pass were all present for the Lions on Christmas morning.
Leo High School also assisted the St. James community with setting up the school hall on Dec. 21.
Saheed Adewole, Damone Seals-Templeton and James Britton were the additional students to help out Saturday morning.
Doyle, the Campus Minister, volunteered the efforts of the Lions.
