As you are probably aware, the Lions had another impressive win in the IHSA football playoffs this past Saturday and will be playing round 3, their first trip to the quarterfinals since 1990, on Saturday afternoon, Nov 16 at 2:00 against number one ranked Ottawa-Marquette at St. Laurence H.S. stadium, 77th and Central in Burbank, IL.
Despite the fact that the Lions played last weeks game in rather chilly weather, a crowd of alumni and friends said to be about 400 made the game. With another game being this close to home, let’s do our best to fill the stadium and cheer our Lions on to a big win and one more step to a state championship. The early forecast this week calls for at least 60 degrees and partly sunny, perfect football weather once again. We hope to see a big crowd this weekend to cheer our Lions on and give them the support they need to come up victorious once again. Go Lions!
