Lee Memorial Scholarship Foundation Fundraiser July 27, 2013

For over a decade Mark Lee ’85, President of the Eric and Steven Lee Memorial Scholarship Foundation, has been part of an effort to raise money to provide educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth in Chicago.  The foundation has sponsored students in the past at both Leo and Maria High. It has also donated money to the scholarship funds at Leo and Maria, bought books for and provided emergency assistance to students at Leo and contributed money to the Dream Scholarship at the CPS school where he currently teaches, Richards Career Academy.  With Maria’s announcement that it will become a charter school soon the money the foundation now raises will almost solely be going to benefit the young men at Leo High School.  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  The event is being held at “The Meadows” Golf Course, located at 2802 West 123rd Street, in Blue Island Illinois.  There will be no golfing involved, but plenty of food, music, dance, raffles, a cash bar and most importantly good people.

Always remember Leo’s motto, FACTA NON VERBA.  Lets keep Leo not just alive, but strong!
