The Leo Lions met the St Francis DeSales Pioneers on Friday, January 6, at Leo High School. St. Francis proved to be a tenacious opponent, keeping the Lions on the move and under pressure at all times during the game. The Lions for their part maintained a modest lead throughout the game, with the exception of the end of the third quarter, at which time St Frances pulled even.
Strong rebounding and accurate free throw shooting served the Lions well as they went on to win the game by a score of 60 to 50.
