As the Leo High School Boxing Club Members took the ring at the 115 Bourbon Street Bar in Merrionette Park, Illinois on Wednesday, former Notre Dame standout Tom Zbikowski worked the corner for the young boxers.
It wasn’t the only way Zbikowski, and ex-pro boxer himself, gave Leo a helping hand. Prior to the bouts, Zbikowski presented a certificate for 50 Under Armour cleats to the Leo Football Team.
Tom’s relationship with the school goes back to his amateur boxing days. “I’ve been to Leo High. They have have an English classroom for a boxing gym and they’re always struggling for equipment for football,” he said. “This gives them one less thing to worry about.”
Said Leo Football Coach Michael Holmes, “The kids really appreciate it because Tommy didn’t have to do that. He’s a true professional already and he hasn’t even made it to the NFL yet.”

We should adopt Tommy into the Leo family for sure.
