Robert H. McCann, St.
Class of 1943
The Alumni Association was notified of the passing of Robert H. McCann, Sr. of the Class of 1943. Robert was a well known Leo Alumni and retired as a Detective for the Chicago Police Department and is a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Robert’s obituary indicates that Robert was the beloved husband of the late Anna Mae (nee Jenen) and the loving father of Anna Marie (Mark C.P.D.) Morrissey, Robert H. Jr., CCSD (Barbara), Emma (Greg) Degen, Rose (Tom) Burke, Janet McCann, C.P.D., Thomas (Megan), and Roger (Carol) McCann. In addition Robert was the proud grandpa of 20 and the Dear great grandpa of 33. In addition Robert was the devoted brother of Barbara Martin, Emma Dearth, and the late Frank McCann, Allen McCann, Neal McCann, Ken McCann, Koral Kettering, and Raymond McCann. Robert was the Uncle of many nieces and nephews. a member of Chicago South Elks Lodge # 1596, and the American Legion and an Alumnus of St. Leo Grammar School (1939), and Leo H.S. (1943).
