The Leo Lions beat Lane Tech in front of a large crowd of students, supporters, alumni and friends on Friday August 25th at Soldier Field. The occasion was the “Kickoff Classic Triple-header” that marks the beginning of the Chicago-area high school football season. The event was the first time Leo played in Soldier Field in 43 years. The powerful performance by the Leo athletes indicates there is great promise for the season ahead. The Alumni Association provided a bus from “The Red Palm” restaurant in Evergreen Park to the game and provided free pizza to alumni attendees after the game.
