The Leo Alumni Association was recently notified of the death of Thomas P. Bartosz of the Class of 1971. Thomas came to Leo from St. Michael’s grammar school. While at Leo, Thomas was an excellent student and made the Honor Roll in all 4 years. Thomas also participated in swimming and water polo for all 4 years. Thomas was selected as the Captain of the Swimming Team by his teammates in his Senior year.
Thomas was awarded an Evans Scholarship and attended Purdue University. He subsequently worked for over 35 years as a chemist and ultimately retired from Dow Chemical Company. Tom enjoyed sports, fishing, and working on projects with his family. For additional information regarding Thomas and his life, his obituary can be viewed here. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 11 AM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506.
