The Leo Alumni Association was recently notified of the death of William (Bill) Holland of the Class of 1973, by several of his friends and classmates. Bill was known as “Dutch” to his close friends. Bill died unexpectedly on June 11. 2022. Bill was an ever-present force in the Leo Alumni Association having been active since the date of his graduation. Bill was also active on the Leo High School Advisory Board. Bill had recently renewed his Alumni work by preparing to pave the way for his Classmates to celebrate their upcoming 50th Anniversary.

Bill was a graduate of Little Flower Grammar School, and through the years he maintained close contact and friendship with many of his fellow Little Flower Graduates. Bill was an active, hard-working, and well-respected member of the Class of 1973 and was elected to the student council in both his Junior and Senior years, including as Student Body President in his senior year. Bill was also elected as the Captain of the Football Team in his senior year in recognition of his talent, and the respect he garnered from his teammates during his four years of participation in the sport. Bill’s other activities included participating in the boxing program as a junior and in intramural sports in all four years.

After attending Leo, Bill went on to obtain his degree from Marquette University and spent much of his professional life as a broker in the insurance industry.
